Work | Arts Of Fashion Illustrations

Arts of Fashion is a foundation that helps young designers to get known. Every year they launch a competition, only for students, with a new theme that must be on their collections. 

This year the theme is "translation". Our illustrations were made for our college project but we had to follow all of the competition's rules.

The competition is still open until the April 1st, if you're a fashion student go for it!

Arts of Fashion é uma fundação que ajuda jovens designers a ser conhecidos. Todos os anos lança uma competição, apenas para estudantes, com um novo tema que deve surgir nas suas coleções.

Este ano o tema é "Translation" (Tradução/Translação). As nossas ilustrações foram feitas para a universidade mas tivemos de seguir todas as regras do concurso.

A competição continua aberta até 1 de Abril, se és estudante de Moda e gostavas de participar!

Jéssica: Collection Name: "Trafic Scale" | "Escala de Transito"

              Concept: With the theme "translation", the ideia was translate the city life, using the street style, the grey colors and different fabrics, to represent the city, the people who live in it and the confusion characteristic from the big cities.

                              Com o tema "tradução", a ideia foi traduzir a vida na cidade, usado o estilo de rua, os tons cinza e diferentes tecidos, que representam a cidade, as pessoas que nela vivem e a confusão característica.

Cláudia: Collection Name: "Bilateral"

               Concept: I picked up the "translation" theme and translate the idea of soft and structured pieces, because they're two very different things. I got my inspiration from the designs of Frank Kay and some of the pieces of an artist called Ernesto Neto. I tried to incorporate the structure and the softness by choosing straight lines and the right fabrics, like denim, organza and leather.

                              Peguei no tema "tradução" e passei a idéia de peças soft e estruturadas, pois são duas coisas muito diferentes. Tive a minha inspiração pelo design do Frank Kay e algumas das peças de um artista chamado Ernesto Neto. Tentei incorporar a estrutura e a suavidade, escolhendo linhas retas e os tecidos certos, como jeans, organza e couro.
